How to research and progress!
Some server may disable technology.
Getting Tech
To get started you will need to craft a research lab. By default you can find this item in the manufacturing section of the /mt items menu, it is the brewing stand icon! Once you have a research lab you can place it and make sure its in an area with power! Then you can open it like any other device and click the device information icon in the middle of the UI to open the research menu! You can also open this menu at anytime by using /mt research or by using /mt and clicking the research icon in the main menu.
All research labs share the same technology. So if you want to research something selecting it in that menu makes it apply to all of your research labs. All Technology requires science packs to unlock. You don't have access to all of the science packs right away. You have to unlock them via researching them. Some technology requires other technology's to be unlocked first.
How it works
Select a technology to start researching, lets say its one that takes red science (Automation Science Packs) and green science (Logistic Science Packs). In order for a research lab to being researching it will need at least 1 red science and 1 green science pack in it. It will then start increasing its research and once it hits 100% progress it will consume 1 of each. Then the progress towards unlocking the technology will increase. Once the technology progress hits 100% the tech is unlocked!
