Manufacturing

Craft, process and transform items from one thing to another.

Manufacturing Basics

These are devices that take one resource and make it into something else. A *resource* could be a liquid, an item or even gas. The entry point for Minetorio actually is a Manufacturing device. That being the Crude Assembler. A unique device that doesn't require power to work, but still requires items to craft the essentials.

Always make sure you have a Power Pylon placed nearby so your device can use power!

Manufacturing Devices

This a list of all of the Manufacturing devices, for detailed information like power draw and other stats take a look at their item stack, as these values can change between versions.

Description

Crude Assembler

This device is used to start Minetorio. It's also the only item you will ever craft by hand. It doesn't need a power grid to work, however it will take 3x longer to work. Powering it will make it much faster. You select a recipe by clicking the *No Recipe Selected* button, which should be a barrier block by default. Once a recipe is set it will show the missing ingredients.

Basic Assembler

This produces a lot of Minetorio based items. You select a recipe by clicking the *No Recipe Selected* button, which should be a barrier block by default. Once a recipe is set it will show the missing ingredients. These recipes will never use liquids.

Advanced Assembler

This produces a lot of Minetorio based items. You select a recipe by clicking the *No Recipe Selected* button, which should be a barrier block by default. Once a recipe is set it will show the missing ingredients. These recipes can use liquids.

Crafter

In this device you don't select a recipe, instead you supply an item that you want to craft into the open recipe slot. (The slot that normally would have the recipe selector in it) This will craft vanilla recipes!

Crusher

This crushes stones down into gravel, which gravel can be crushed again into sand. This is useful when used with a sifter, and also for obtaining large amounts of gravel & cobblestone.

Sifter

This sifts sand, red sand, soul soil & soul sand by default for various resources. Sand notably can sift into basic materials like iron and copper. Crusher / Sifter setups are very common early on.

Auto Stripper

This strips away color from colored items, it can also strip logs and restore copper blocks that have any level of oxidization.

Tidal Generator

This device generates power from tides. You need to place it in a large body of water. In the middle of a deep lake or a sea is a good choice. It requires two iron doors on its left and right sides to work but it will generate peak power twice a day, similar to tides in the real world. These have a crowding penalty so you have to space them out.

Auto Stonecutter

This can craft any stonecutter recipe item, this is useful for crafting walls which are used in pipes. As you can save on resources this way. This is also generally useful for builders.

Infuser

This device can create ender pearls from spider eyes, more importantly though it can create redstone dust from sand. Which is used in a lot of recipes.

Air Scrubber

This device uses water to collect pollution from the super chunk to produce waste water. Useful for pollution management, when used with a liquid valve you can dump the pollution elsewhere.

Gas Extractor

This pulls gases from the atmosphere and can fill gas canisters with said gas. The planet this is one greatly decides how fast the extractor fills up with gas.

Observatory

This device can generate space science packs, however it does this much faster in space.

Oil Refinery

This changes oil into various other liquids, it makes a bit of pollution but is necessary for progressing.

Electric Furnace, Blast Furnace, Electric Smoker

These devices are actually refining devices but they do what their vanilla counterparts would do, but instead they use electricity. These are notable devices because they can use device modules and they can be overdriven making them way better then their normal counterparts.
