Movers

Move items across your factory with ease! Grow the factory!

Mover Basics

Movers take items from their input side and move the items to their output side. The input side is the side opposite of the face of the mover. And the output direction is the its face direction. Below is an example of moving iron ingots from a furnace into a chest. Notice how you can see the movers face, and its facing into the chest. The furnace is in the opposite direction.

Mover Settings

You can view a movers settings at any time by right clicking it to open its settings UI. In this menu you will have a few options, by default the first screen you have open is the View / Remove Filters view. You also have an Add Filters view, Manage Modifiers view and some other information like Filter Type and Mover Gears.

This is the default view when opening a mover.

View / Remove Filters

The main purpose of this view is to quickly see what filters you do have set. You can remove a filter just by clicking on it here. You can also quickly add an item to the filter list from your inventory by clicking an item in your inventory!

Add Filters

This gives you a way to add filters to a mover for an item you might not have yet. You can also apply group filters here to. These filters will allow you to filter entire sets of items with one click. There is also a lookup button you can click to search for the item your looking for.

Manage Modifier

This view lets you change the behavior of the mover. Clicking a button here will toggle that behavior. These can be mixed and match to so you can have pretty dynamic movers.

Filter Type

This doesn't open a new view, but you can toggle between a whitelist and a black list here. This will either allow or disallow the filters. By default all movers with at least one filter applied to them work as a whitelist.

Mover Gears

This button will show you how many mover gears have been put into the mover. Mover gears allow the mover to move items faster between containers NOT belts. You can get these back when you break the mover.

Mover Tips

Here is a few things you can do with movers that you might not know of!

Tip
Description

Flip Mover Direction

You can flip a movers direction by looking at it and hitting your swap hand key. By default this is the F key. Doing so will flip the direction of the mover.

Overdriver Interaction

The Overdriver device can be used with a mover to make the mover move items faster!

Wire Tool Copy & Paste

You can sneak right click with the wire tool in your hand to copy all settings from one mover and then right click with a wire tool on another mover to paste the settings to that mover.

Wire Tool Change Input Direction

You can change the input direction of a mover by left clicking it with a wire tool. This ONLY changes the input direction not the output. So you can use this to have a mover face EAST for example, and instead of using the WEST input, it could use south side of the mover instead, it could even use the bottom or top of the mover as the input. You will see a green block representing where the input has been moved to when you click the mover.
